If you want to make the most of love, you need to do your homework! Try Dr. Laura Berman's weekly homework assignment, designed to help you improve your relationships—both in and out of the bedroom.
This week, on at least one occasion in any relationship, whether it's with your partner, a colleague, a friend or family member, when you notice yourself getting angry or feeling unliked, misunderstood, unwanted or judged, try shifting your perception by following these three steps:
1. Focus on something positive outside of the situation in the environment
2. Find one redeeming quality about that person or situation
3. Instead of assuming something is going to be negative, say to yourself, "I'm going to do whatever I can in this situation to ensure a positive outcome."
