There's conflict in every relationship, but not all conflict has to be hurtful. Make a commitment to fight for your relationship, not just for yourself.
Start by taking responsibility for your role in any conflict and sharing this commitment with your partner. Say something like: "I know that we are fighting a lot and that I'm not doing my part to argue with you in a loving and constructive way. I am making a commitment to change that."
Shift your attitude and approach in an argument, and you will change the dynamics of your relationship. Conflict can actually be healthy and productive. Take responsibility. Communicate well. Fight to love, not to win.
